Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how By Any Means, LLC ("By Any Means," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the BAM Athletes mobile app (the "App").

BAM Athletes is for parents and guardians of athletes enrolled at a sports academy. It lets you see your child's schedule, book and cancel sessions, answer team invitations, message your academy, take part in your team's group chat, and manage your billing. The account holder must be 18 or older. The App is not designed for children to use, and children do not create accounts.

1. Information We Collect

• Your account details — your name, email address, and phone number, as held by your academy. You sign in with a code sent to your email; we do not store a password.
• Your child's details — first and last name, date of birth or age group, team and jersey information, plan and attendance records. Most of this is entered by your academy; some, like a jersey size, you can provide yourself.
• Content you send — messages, photos and short videos you attach to a message, session notes, and RSVP responses.
• Billing information — your plan, invoices, and the last four digits and brand of your payment card. Full card numbers are handled by Stripe and never reach our servers.
• Device information — a push notification token and basic device type, used only to send you notifications.
• Diagnostic data — crash and error reports, used to fix problems.

2. Photos and Videos

You can attach photos and short videos to a message. Two things are worth knowing:

• A message to your academy is seen only by your academy's staff and by you.
• A message in a team chat is seen by the other parents on that team and by the team's coaches. If you post a photo of your child there, those families can see it.

The App only reads a photo or video you deliberately choose. It does not scan or browse your photo library, and it never opens your camera on its own.

3. Reporting and Blocking

You can report any message to your academy, and you can block another parent so you stop seeing their messages. Reporting is confidential: the person you report is not told who reported them. When you report a message, a copy of it is saved for your academy to review, so that the report still makes sense if the sender deletes the original. You can undo a block at any time from your Profile.

Blocking applies to other parents. It does not apply to your academy's staff, so that you never miss a cancellation, a bus time, or a change to a game.

4. How We Use Information

• To show you your child's schedule, team, and account.
• To let you book, cancel, and respond to sessions and team events.
• To deliver messages between you and your academy, and within your team.
• To take payment for your plan, through Stripe.
• To send you notifications you have asked for.
• To keep the App working and to investigate problems.

We do not use your information, or your child's, for advertising. We do not sell it. We do not track you across other apps or websites.

5. How We Share Information

• Your academy — staff at the academy your child attends can see your account, your child's records, and the messages you send them.
• Other families on your team — only what you post in a team chat.
• Service providers — Supabase (database, sign-in, file storage), Stripe (payments), Resend (email), Expo and Apple and Google (push notifications), and Sentry (crash reports). They process data on our instructions and may not use it for their own purposes.
• Legal — where we are required by law, or to protect someone's safety.

6. Push Notifications

If you allow notifications, we store a device token so we can send them. You can turn notifications off at any time in the App or in your device settings, and you can keep using the App without them.

7. Data Retention

We keep your information for as long as your family is active with an academy that uses the App, and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal, accounting, and dispute-resolution obligations. Reported messages are kept while the report is open and for a period afterwards so an academy can act on a pattern.

8. Security

Information is encrypted in transit. Access to family records is limited to your own academy and to the small number of By Any Means staff who need it to run the service. Payment card details are held by Stripe, not by us.

9. Your Rights

You can ask us to show you the information we hold about your family, correct it, or delete it. Write to zoran@byanymeansbball.com and we will respond within 30 days. Deleting your account removes your sign-in and your family's records from the App; your academy may keep its own separate records, and we may retain what the law requires.

10. Children's Privacy

BAM Athletes is used by parents and guardians, not by children. We do not knowingly let anyone under 18 create an account. Information about a child in the App is provided by the parent or by the academy, on the basis that the parent has agreed to the academy's own terms. If you believe a child has created an account, write to us and we will remove it.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above, and significant changes will be communicated in the App.
